The Online Middle and High School presents the annual presentation for 2016 of the The Abraham S. Fischler  "Distance Education Day" Award for Effective Proceudres to support online learning.

in cooperation with Distance Edcuation Day Facebook page have nominated Sheffield Business School. SBS for its innovative procedure for assessment.   (That's in "teacher speak" for "well done!").

In a real person's language, "SBS is a leader in testing students in a way that builds the student's portfolio."

Too often a standardized test asks EXCELLENT QUESTIONS, but requires confidentiality about the responses.  The students who wrote the exam answers can't see their work six months or a year leater.   I recall writing a fabulous response to a question on my A-Level Economics exam.  The question had something to do with mcroecononics and I completely ignored the question and instead restated the question in a way that would allow me to quote liberally from Small is Beautiful, the collection of essays by EF Schumacher.  Look it up.  It was a mini-best seller, and became a cult classic (see the Afterword at the end of this blogpost.)
